JAMESTOWN, NY – City police are investigating what they are describing as a violent armed home invasion robbery that took place early Sunday morning.
According to Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson, the incident took place at Chautauqua Ave. at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 9.
Police say two white males kicked in a door to the residence and then assaulted the victim at the front door before forcing their way into the residence. One of the two subjects was also seen on the video brandishing a pistol during the attack.
Police say once inside, the two suspects took several items from the victim and then fled the scene and ran down Chautauqua Ave. toward Baker Street.
The two suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts and their faces were partially concealed.
Police said attack was not a random act of violence at that the location was targeted, with the motive being drug related.
