Six Charged After Tower St. Burglary Investigation

April 24, 2017 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

JAMESTOWN – Six people, including two minors, were arrested Sunday following an alleged burglary incident that took place on Tower St.

Members of the Jamestown Police Department were called to a location on Tower St. for a report of a suspect entering a residence and taking property from a young child. During an investigation, officers located several subjects at a nearby residence, with one of them allegedly involved in the burglary and the others accused of interfering with their investigation.

Police arrested a 16-year-old, whose name is not being released, on a charge of 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony), 4th Degree Grand Larceny (Felony), Child Endangerment, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest.

Also charged were: 38 year-old Anthony Cunningham Jr., 22 year-old Tre Frank, and 18 year-old Isiah Payne, each for obstructing governmental administration; another 16 year-old, whose name was also not released, was charged for obstructing governmental administration; and 18 year-old Devon Jackson for criminal possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.

Police also say that while transporting the two minors, they allegedly hid narcotic evidence in the back of the patrol vehicle. As a result, both were additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence (Felony).

Police say the investigation is continuing.
