MAYVILLE – The Republican challenger for Chautauqua County Sheriff has also won the conservative Party endorsement.
In the only local county-wide primary race in Chautauqua County, challenger James Quattrone defeated incumbent Joseph Gerace in the county Conservative Party primary for Sheriff by a vote of 217-104 on Thursday.
The victory means Quattrone will be endorsed by the Republican and Conservative parties on the November ballot, while Gerace will be endorsed by the Democratic, Independence and Working Family parties.
