JAMESTOWN – The community is stepping up to help two individuals affected by a fire that broke out in their apartment building last weekend. Members of the Southwestern NY Red Cross Disaster Action Team are providing help to the residents who lost most all their belongings in a house fire on Prather Ave. Saturday morning.
All disaster assistance offered by the American Red Cross is complimentary and made possible by generous contributions from the American people and residents of Chautauqua County. The United Way organizations of Chautauqua County also provide financial support to the local Red Cross mission.
In addition, members of the local group Thee Audience will be using the proceeds from their next show, this Friday night at Mojo’s in downtown Jamestown, to help the residents. Thee Audience and the band’s upcoming show were featured on our most recent Arts on Fire program here on WRA.
