[LISTEN] Community Matters – International Overdose Awareness Day Forum at Chautauqua Mall

On Wednesday, Aug. 31, Evergreen Health Services held a forum at the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood, NY as part of International Overdose Awareness Day. The event was intended to help raise awareness about drug overdoses and that they can affect anyone, as well as what can be done to help reduce fatal overdoses in the community.

Among those who spoke at the forum were:

  • Ian Eastman, Evergreen Health Services
  • Kim Carlson, Jamestown area resident and mother who lost her son to an overdose
  • Harry Snellings, Chief of the Jamestown Police Department
  • Dr. Robert Berke, Family Health Medical Services
  • Julie Franco, Chautauqua Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Council
  • Steven Michael Cobb, Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County
  • Jamie Probst, Hospice Chautauqua County
