President <strong>Barack Obama<\/strong> is asking lawmakers to authorize restricted force in Syria against the <strong>Bashar Assad<\/strong> regime for its use of chemical weapons against civilians.<\/p>\n<p>Many representatives, including Chautauqua County Congressman <strong>Tom Reed<\/strong> (R-Corning) and former Congressman <strong>Brian Higgins<\/strong> (D-Buffalo), are against the use of force without compelling evidence Syrica poses a direct threat to Americans and American interests.
