Over the weekend, Chautauqua County Independence Committee Chairman <strong>Thom\u00a0Shagla<\/strong> announced that Johnson is the party\u2019s choice this year for County Executive.<\/p>\n<p>In a media release from the Johnson campaign, Shagla said that the Independence Party executive committee was impressed with Ron\u2019s wide range of experience and his non-partisan and\u00a0independent\u00a0ideas. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Shagla also said that Johnson\u2019s experience as a county deputy sheriff, Pomfret town justice and business leader will give him the depth of knowledge needed to lead our county.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson is Fredonia resident and is currently the owner\/operator of Johnson Adult Homes in Fredonia, and was the lead developer of Fredonia Place. \u00a0He is facing <strong>Vince Horrigan<\/strong> (R-Bemus Point) in the November election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FREDONIA &#8211; Chautauqua County Executive candidate Ron Johnson (D-Fredonia) has picked up an endorsement from the Independence Party.
