In addition, Chautauqua County Executive <strong>Greg Edwards<\/strong> is terminating his agreement with a businessman who had made an offer to buy the home for $16.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday night, County Attorney <strong>Steve Abdella<\/strong> sent out an email, notifying the media that the special meeting had been cancelled by Legislature Chairman<strong> Jay Gould<\/strong>.\u00a0 In the notification, Abdella also said that Edwards recommended the cancellation of the meeting due to the failure of the prospective purchaser of the County Home to make the required purchase deposit of $1.65 million.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Edwards announced that <strong>Richard Platschek<\/strong> had submitted an offer to buy the county home. Platscheck already owns three other nursing facilities in the Buffalo area.
