\"\"<\/a>The City Democratic and Republican Committees<\/strong> have announced their slate of candidates for the November General Election<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Democrat and current Mayor Eddie Sundquist<\/strong> previously announced he is seeking re-election for a second term with Republican Council Member at Large Kim Ecklund<\/strong> recently announcing she will be running against him for the seat.<\/p>\n

The City Democratic Committee has endorsed local attorney John I. LaMancuso<\/strong> to run for City Court Judge. His father, John L. LaMancuso<\/strong>, has held that position for 29 years. Republicans have not endorsed a candidate for that race.<\/p>\n

Democratic endorsements for City Council<\/strong> At Large include Isaiah Rashad II<\/strong> and returning candidate Alyssa Porter<\/strong>. Republicans have endorsed incumbents Jeff Russell<\/strong> and Randy Daversa<\/strong>; as well as Russ Bonfiglio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Republican Ward 1 Council member Brent Sheldon<\/strong> and Ward 2 Council member and Council President Tony Dolce<\/strong> are running unopposed.<\/p>\n

Ward 3 Democratic Incumbent Regina Brackman<\/strong> will again face Republican Robert Reedy<\/strong>. That race in 2021 was determined by three absentee ballots<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Democratic incumbent Marie Carrubba<\/strong> has been endorsed again to represents Ward 4 and will face Republican Joe Paterniti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Republican Incumbent Bill Reynolds<\/strong> will face Democrat Kaycee Colburn<\/strong> for Ward 5 and Republican Incumbent Andrew Faulkner<\/strong> will be running against former Council Member at Large Vanessa Weinert<\/strong> in Ward 6.<\/p>\n

For the County Legislature<\/strong> endorsements, Democratic incumbent Billy Torres<\/strong> and Republican Phillip Landy<\/strong> have been endorsed for District 9.<\/p>\n

Republican incumbent Jamie Gustafson<\/strong> will face newcomer Democrat Julie Jackson-Forsberg<\/strong> for District 10.<\/p>\n

Republican incumbent Dave Wilfong<\/strong> is unopposed for District 11.<\/p>\n

District 12 endorsements include Republican Elisabeth Rankin<\/strong> against former Democratic County Legislator and former County Attorney Fred Larson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Democratic Incumbent Tom Nelson<\/strong> will face Republican Joseph Tickle<\/strong> for District 13.<\/p>\n

Candidate petitioning to get on the election ballot begins tomorrow, February 28 and ends April 6. Any primaries necessary will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
