Among the items was a resolution calling for the abandonment of Lafayette Street between 2nd and 3rd streets in downtown Jamestown. Prior to the vote, a public hearing was held for the abandonment with no one coming before the council. The resolution was later approved unanimously without discussion.<\/p>\n<p>The council also approved a resolution hiring the <strong>Greenman Pederson<\/strong> construction company out of Buffalo to begin renovation work to <strong>Tracey Plaza<\/strong>.
