{"id":4090,"date":"2013-01-18T08:46:49","date_gmt":"2013-01-18T13:46:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wrfalp.wordpress.com\/?p=4090"},"modified":"2017-05-25T21:39:27","modified_gmt":"2017-05-26T01:39:27","slug":"morning-news-county-legislatures-audit-and-control-committee-approves-county-home-resolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wrfalp.com\/morning-news-county-legislatures-audit-and-control-committee-approves-county-home-resolution\/","title":{"rendered":"MORNING NEWS: County Legislature&#8217;s Audit and Control Committee Approves County Home Resolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MAYVILLE &#8211; Another committee of the <strong>Chautauqua County Legislature<\/strong> has given it\u2019s approval for the sale of the <strong>Chautauqua County Home<\/strong> to a Chicago based company.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/post-journal.com\/page\/content.detail\/id\/616404\/Ducks-In-A-Row.html?nav=5192\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>an article in today\u2019s Jamestown <em>Post-Journal<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the legislator\u2019s financial oversight committee voted 5-1 in favor of the resolution, which calls for selling the home to <strong>Altitude Health Services, Inc.<\/strong> of Chicago. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Voting in favor of the resolution was <strong>George Borello<\/strong> (R-Irving), <strong>John Runkle<\/strong> (R-Cassadaga), <strong>Chuck Nazarro<\/strong> (D-Jamestown), <strong>David Himelein<\/strong> (R-Findley Lake) and <strong>Tom DeJoe<\/strong> (D-Brocton). The only person voting against the resolution was <strong>Shaun Heenan<\/strong> (D-Dunkirk).<\/p>\n<p>Both County Executive <strong>Greg Edwards<\/strong> and County Attorney <strong>Steve Abdella<\/strong> also appeared before the committee to explain details of the pending agreement between the county and potential purchaser <strong>William (Avi) Rothner<\/strong>, president of Altitude Health.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution will now go before the full legislature during its monthly voting session next Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Mayville.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MAYVILLE &#8211; Another committee of the Chautauqua County Legislature has given it\u2019s approval for the sale of the Chautauqua County Home to a Chicago based company.
