Hundreds of people stopped by for a free open skate at the arena, which was also attend by several members of the U.S. gymnastics team \u2013 including gold medalists for the woman\u2019s gymanastic team <strong>Aly Raisman<\/strong> and <strong>Jordyn Wieber<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, local students will have another opportunity to meet one of the gold medalists as Raisman visits<strong> Persell Middle School<\/strong> at 9 a.m. \u00a0She is coming as part of the &#8220;Ask, Listen, Learn&#8221; program that is run by the Century Council to educate students on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the dangers of underage drinking.<\/p>\n<p>The appearance by the gold medalists is in conjunction with the <strong>Progressive Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular<\/strong> on Saturday night at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JAMESTOWN &#8211; Residents and children in Jamestown had an opportunity to meet some world-renowned athletes yesterday during an open skate at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.
