The virtual conference will be held on <strong>Thursday, June 4, 2020<\/strong> from <strong>8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/strong> The online event will include keynote speakers and educational webinars on mental health, chemical dependency, and other wellness topics that are available in Chautauqua County and our region as well as community resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hope\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Healing\u00a0of WNY will feature keynote speakers <strong>Anne Hazlett<\/strong>, Senior Advisor for <strong>Rural Affairs at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy<\/strong>. Also speaking will be Chautauqua County native, <strong>Melissa Pietrkiewicz<\/strong>, a clinical social worker, trauma informed care specialist,\u00a0and\u00a0founder of Partners in Kind, a local organization that promotes charitable efforts \u201cto make Chautauqua County whole again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other sessions on topics such as social\/emotional learning, trauma-informed care, prevention,\u00a0and\u00a0harm reduction, are planned for the virtual event in addition to \u201cFRED\u201d Talks, brief\u00a0and\u00a0engaging presentations highlighting efforts to bring\u00a0hope\u00a0and\u00a0healing\u00a0in Chautauqua County.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hope\u00a0and\u00a0Healing\u00a0Conference of WNY 2020 Planning Committee Members include <strong>Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene<\/strong>, <strong>Chautauqua County Department of Health\u00a0and\u00a0Human Services<\/strong>, <strong>Prevention Works<\/strong>, <strong>State University of New York at Fredonia<\/strong>, <strong>Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>HOPE\u00a0Chautauqua<\/strong>, the <strong>Community Alliance for Suicide Prevention<\/strong>, <strong>Chautauqua Tapestry<\/strong>, <strong>Tobacco Free CCA<\/strong>, C<strong>hautauqua Substance Abuse Response Partnership<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0other local organizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizers say the conference will include valuable information for the entire community addressing complex needs in mental health, chemical dependency, and wellness while celebrating successes in our region.
