\"\"<\/a>LAKEWOOD – A local manufacturer of brass products has announced it will be acquired by a national operation – but the move is expected to not only help maintain local operations, but also expand them.<\/p>\n

Water Street Brass<\/strong> and Top Knobs<\/strong> announced the acquisition of Water Street Brass by Top Knobs in a media release sent out on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Founded by brothers Matt and Chase Churchill<\/strong> in 2012 in Lakewood, Water Street Brass provides high-end solid brass decorative hardware, as well as a collection of door hardware for homeowners.<\/p>\n

In 2014 Water Street Brass bought its existing facility on Gleason Road in Lakewood. Since then, it has hired approximately 50 new employees. Next month the company plans on breaking ground on an expansion effort that will create more capacity to support continued growth.<\/p>\n

The Churchills say Partnering with Top Knobs will provide significant new opportunities for growth in jobs, manufacturing capacity, and distribution.<\/p>\n
