He was transported to UPMC Chautauqua and later UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Chautauqua County Sheriff\u2019s Office Accident Reconstruction Team was also on the scene and the street remained closed for a couple hours after the incident took place.<\/p>\n<p>No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JAMESTOWN &#8211; A Jamestown man has died after being hit by a car shortly before 6 a.m. Monday in downtown Jamestown.
