Mark Geise<\/strong> informed the IDA board that it is working with the city of Dunkirk on the issue and a grant application to conduct a feasibility study on the plant has been sent out.<\/p>\nThe IDA is requesting $60,000 in the grant application through the Appalachian Regional Commission.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year NRG announced that it would not repower the NRG plant, due to the costs associated with reconnecting the plant to the state power grid.
