SHERMAN – Two people from Erie are facing charges after leading police on a high speed chase Saturday.<\/p>\nSHERMAN – Two people from Erie are facing charges after leading police on a high speed chase Saturday.<\/p>\n
Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies<\/strong> say 48-year-old William Lisek<\/strong> and 36-year-old Shaline Pepperman<\/strong> were listed on Erie Top Ten most wanted. When police spotted their car in Erie, they made a break for the state line. Once in New York, state troopers and Chautauqua County deputies stepped in to help.<\/p>\n At one point, the suspect’s vehicle spun out of control and Lisek began driving in the wrong direction on I-86. A Pennsylvania state trooper was eventually able to hit the fleeing vehicle, ending the chase.<\/p>\n No one involved appears to be seriously hurt.<\/p>\n Lisek is charged with failing to comply with police, reckless driving, speeding over 100 miles per hour, and more.
