On Monday, Officials from <strong>WCA Hospital<\/strong> and <strong>UPMC Hamot<\/strong> in Erie, Pennsylvania announced they have signed a strategic affiliation agreement that will expand access to healthcare services and resources in the region. The affiliation enables WCA Hospital to retain control of the hospital and the services it provides while affording the community the expertise and resources of UPMC Hamot, which is now part of UPMC, an academic medical center.<\/p>\n<p>WCA Hospital President\/CEO <strong>Betsy Wright<\/strong> said Community hospitals across the nation are facing extraordinary challenges in today\u2019s uncertain healthcare environment, adding that WCA is very excited to work alongside UPMC Hamot to provide greater opportunity moving forward into the future of healthcare delivery.
