\"\"<\/a>MAYVVILLE – Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson<\/strong> has released a list of county sentences that include four people being sentenced for firearm-related charges.<\/p>\n

In early 2017, Swanson announced<\/a> his office would take a hard-line approach when prosecuting individuals who\u2019ve been arrested on illegal gun-related charges. He said his \u201cGun Done\u201d policy would involve not accepting any plea deals on gun charges.<\/p>\n

Among those who were sentenced for gun-related charges were James Blue<\/strong> of Jamestown, who was sentenced on Feb. 26 to a determinate sentence of four years in State Prison after being convicted on one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree. Blue was arrested on June 5, 2017<\/a> for possessing a loaded FNH 40-cal pistol that was reportedly stolen from Cattaraugus County.<\/p>\n

In another Gun-Done case, 29 year old Michael Thompson<\/strong> of Bemus Point was sentenced to three and a-half years in state prison after being convicted on one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree. Thompson was arrested and charged in January 2017 following an investigation into an automobile accident<\/a> in the Town of Ellery, when an assault rifle with numerous loaded magazine, a sawed off shotgun, commercial and homemade fireworks, and throwing stars were all recovered.<\/p>\n

Also sentenced was 18 year old Eduardo Rivera<\/strong> of Jamestown, who was sentenced in February to a determinate sentence of three years in state prison after being convicted on one count of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree.\u00a0 The Court did not grant youthful offender status.<\/p>\n

And 38 year old Jennifer MacGonigal<\/strong> of Chagrin Falls, OH was sentenced in December to two and a-half years in state prison after being convicted of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Gun-Done cases, Swanson announced nine other recent sentences:<\/p>\n
