On Tuesday the legislature held its re-organizational meeting for the new term, with Lakewood Republican Paul \u201cPJ\u201d Wendel<\/strong> being appointed to serve as legislature chairman. \u00a0Wendall will take over the role that was held by David Himelein<\/strong> (R-Findley Lake) for much of the past year.<\/p>\n

Wendall had previously served as the legislature\u2019s majority leader. With his move to chairman of the legislature, the new majority leader will be Bemus Point Republican Pierre Chagnon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jamestown Democrat Chuck Nazzaro<\/strong> was designated as the legislature\u2019s minority leader.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
