JAMESTOWN – The annual celebration of comedy in Jamestown begins this week with a new twist to the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The National Comedy Center<\/strong><\/a> will be presenting a week of comedy performances and dialogues this year, and partnering with world-renowned Chautauqua Institution<\/strong><\/a> on a week titled \u201cComedy and the Human Condition<\/a>,\u201d which begins today and continues into next week.<\/p>\n

Jim Gaffigan<\/strong>, Kevin James<\/strong>, Robert Klein<\/strong>, Lisa Lampanelli<\/strong> and more than twenty others will perform later this week in Jamestown, while Lewis Black<\/strong>, David Steinberg<\/strong>, W. Kamau Bell<\/strong>, Kelly Carlin<\/strong> and more engage in dialogues in the 4,000 seat amphitheater series.<\/p>\n

Lewis Black will deliver a lecture this morning at the institution to kick off the week-long series of activities.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a special event will also take place today in Jamestown with the unveiling of a FREE special George Carlin<\/strong> exhibit, “Stuff I Saved”, featuring items from Carlin’s personal archive that were recently donated to the National Comedy Center and being presented at the Gateway Train Station<\/strong>, starting at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

This week\u2019s programming also includes the nationally and critically-acclaimed children\u2019s comedy troupe, The Story Pirates<\/strong>, Late Night Comedy<\/strong> and a Stand-Up Showcase<\/strong> free to members of the U.S. Military past and present.<\/p>\n

Shuttles will be leaving to and from Chautauqua (Main Gate Welcome Center) and Jamestown (Fest HQ – 211 W 2nd Street) all this week.<\/p>\n
