New York State STOP-DWI Holiday Enforcement Crackdown<\/a>, which begins Friday, Dec. 16 and continues through Monday, Jan. 2.<\/p>\nIn Chautauqua County, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office<\/strong>, municipal law enforcement agencies, and New York State Police<\/strong> will vigorously enforce laws related to driving while impaired. They will work together to reduce the number of impaired driving injuries and deaths, with special emphasis on driving while impaired by either alcohol or drugs.<\/p>\nThe state crackdown program is funded by a 2016-2017 grant from the Governor\u2019s Traffic Safety Committee<\/strong>, and is part of a national crackdown effort.<\/p>\nChautauqua County\u2019s local STOP-DWI Program is also funded by drinking and driving fines collected from convicted drunk drivers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
