JAMESTOWN – The Northwest Arena<\/strong> had an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday to officially recognize the new name of the facility.<\/p>\n

Since first being built and completed in 2002, the arena has been known as the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena<\/strong>. But the parent company of the bank \u2013 Northwest Bank<\/strong> \u2013 had recently made the decision to rebrand all local banks as Northwest Bank<\/strong>, dropping the \u201cJamestown Savings\u201d title. As a result, the ice arena also had to drop the name and go with Northwest.<\/p>\n
