The former Quality Markets location on Fluvanna Ave. has remained vacant since the supermarket closed in 2008.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n JAMESTOWN – There\u2019s more details being released about a new business moving into the former Quality Markets<\/strong> supermarket on Fluvanna Avenue in Jamestown.<\/p>\n The Jamestown Post-Journal<\/em> is reporting<\/a> that the light-manufacturing business is named New Flyer<\/a><\/strong>, and is based in Winnipeg, Canada. New Flyer is a heavy-duty transit bus manufacturer founded in 1930.<\/p>\n New Flyer made an agreement to move into the former Quality location after it was purchased by Shults Real Estate LLC<\/strong>. Shults said the cost to renovate the location would be $1.6 million, with the Chautauqua County IDA<\/strong> providing a $500,000 low-interest, 20-year loan for the project.<\/p>\nNew Flyer plans to hire at least 12 employees to start at the Jamestown facility, with plans to have 40-50 workers once their manufacturing operation is up and running.<\/p>\n
