WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Charles Schumer<\/strong> and Kirsten Gillibrand<\/strong> have announced nearly $750,000 in federal funding for Chautauqua County\/Jamestown Airport.<\/p>\n

The funding was allocated through the U.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s<\/strong> (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration<\/strong> (FAA). The Chautauqua County Legislature already approved the funding<\/a> during its August voting session.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the Chautauqua County Airport<\/strong> in Jamestown will receive $745,750 in federal money to complete the final phase of full-depth reconstruction of approximately 7,200 square yards of the parking lot for the terminal building to maintain the structural integrity of the existing pavement. The total cost of the project is just over $850,000 and the county\u2019s share of the project totals just over $21,000.<\/p>\n

The Cattaraugus County-Olean Airport located in Cattaraugus County will receive $150,300 to help replace aging equipment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
