\"Chautauqua<\/a>SHERMAN, NY – A Sherman man is facing animal cruelty related charges after he allegedly hit a dog on purpose with his vehicle.<\/p>\n

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 66 year-old Richard Frey was traveling down an undisclosed road in Sherman at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, when <\/span>he allegedly ran into and killed a dog with his vehicle. After hitting the dog Frey left the scene. After a short investigation it was found that Frey had seen the dog in front of his car and continued to travel forward into the dog.<\/p>\n

Frey was arrested and charged with Agriculture and Markets law overdriving, torturing, injuring animals. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Sherman Court on a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
