GOWANDA – Two adults have died, and two children were hospitalized after a fall from one of the cliffs at Zoar Valley early Sunday afternoon.
According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the three victims were found on the gorge floor near the Springville side of Zoar Valley. The two adults who died were identified as William and Amanda Green of Buffalo.
A young child, described as infant-to-toddler age, was taken to Children’s Hospital. A second child around 7 or 8 years of age was initially reported as missing, but was located early Sunday evening and sent to the hospital as well.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
