The investigation is continuing into the shooting death of an Ellicott man.

Town of Ellicott Police said a 911 call was received from 2256 Willard Street Extension around 10:00 p.m., Friday, January 6th with a report of a gunshot victim at the residence.

Ellicott and Jamestown Police responded and found the victim, 57-year old Scott Blake, dead from a gunshot wound.

Police arrested 18-year old Tucker Richard in the case and charged him with 2nd Degree Murder. He is in the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting arraignment.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded just after 7:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting. A male victim was found on Reed Street and transported to UPMC Chautauqua where he died.

State Police and the Sinclairville Fire Department assisted Sheriff’s Deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office said the incident is under investigation and it does not appear to be a random act.

East Sixth Street and American Place

Jamestown Police are investigating a shooting late Saturday night that resulted in the death of a Lockport man.

JPD reports they were called to the area of East Sixth Street and American Place around 11:30 Saturday for reports of multiple shots fired. Officers were told that a vehicle took a shooting victim to UPMC Chautauqua. That victim, 37-year old Shawn Black, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

This is the first homicide in the city of Jamestown for 2022.

Police say 46-year old Angel Pacheco was shot in his front yard at 60 Water Street around 8:30pm. Pacheco was transported to UPMC where he later died of his injuries.

Police identified the victim of the shooting as 43-year-old Angel Oriz Rodriguez, who was found in a yard at 38 Peach Street shortly after midnight, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was sent to UPMC hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

No motive has been given for the shooting but police say the incident “appears to be targeted.”

MAYVILLE – The Sherman man charged after unintentionally shooting and killing his neighbor during a hunting incident last November has pleaded guilty to Criminally Negligent Homicide and Hunting After Hours.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson says the state reached the plea deal with 33 year-old Thomas Jadlowski Thursday in Chautauqua County Court.

Jadlowski was indicted by a grand jury in March on a charge of second-degree manslaughter for fatally shooting his neighbor 43 year-old Rosemary Billquist in the early evening on Nov. 22, 2017 while she was walking with her dogs in a field next to her home. He had told police that he had mistaken her for a deer.

Swanson says the state reached a plea deal with Jadlowski only after consultation with Billquist’s family, who supported the plea deal decision.

The original manslaughter charge was dismissed in February after Chautauqua County Court judge David Foley ruled the District Attorney’s Office failed to answer a question from a juror on a lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide.

As part of the plea deal, Jadlowski has agreed to waive his right to appeal. He is facing 1-4 years in state prison when sentenced on Jan. 14.

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department has released the name of the man who was shot Tuesday morning and died the next day as a result of his injuries.

City police say 30-year-old William J. Michishima was taken off life support Wednesday at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. His death was the result of a single gunshot wound to the head.

As a result of his death, charges of 2nd degree Murder are now pending for the suspect, 54-year-old David Waggoner.

The shooting incident that took place just before 9 a.m. Tuesday near 114 Livingston Ave. Police have not released details on a possible motive.

Jamestown Police are reporting that the victim in Tuesday morning’s west side shooting as died as a result of his injuries. A media release sent out Wednesday afternoon says the victim, whose name has not been released, was removed from life support at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday. Charges of 2nd degree Murder are now pending for the suspect, 54-year-old David Waggoner.

An autopsy will be completed on Thursday at the Erie County Medical Examiners Office to determine the exact cause of death.

City Man Arrested Following Shooting on City’s West Side

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police have charged a city man with attempted murder and 1st degree assault following a shooting incident that took place just before 9 a.m. Tuesday on the city’s west side.

Police say 54-year-old David Waggoner was taken into custody not long after officers were called to 114 Livingston Ave. for a reported fight. When officers arrived they found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was rushed to UPMC hospital in Erie, where he is listed in critical condition. Police have not released the victim’s name, nor details on a possible motive.

Waggoner was being held at the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned in city court.

Jamestown police were assisted at the scene by members of the Ellicott Police Department and Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office.
