The Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce will hold its “Salute to the Finest” recognition ceremony tonight.
The annual event recognizes some of the local businesses, individuals, and organizations that make a difference in the community.
Awards will be presented to the following:
New Business of the Year – Southern Sails Junk Removal
Restaurant of the Year – Tim Hortons of Jamestown & Olean
Retailer of the Year – Everyday’s True Value
Service to Humanity Award – Patrick Smeraldo
Legacy Award – The Post-Journal
Pride of Jamestown Award – Chuck DeAngelo
Business of the Year – D & S Glass Service
The Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce’s “Salute to the Finest” award ceremony is tonight.
The event pays tribute to local businesses and organizations that are making a difference in the local community through service, filling vital needs, or by helping to create the unique flavor of the city by providing unique and special merchandise, foods, or other products.
This year’s award recipients are:
– New Business of the Year, ART Cloth + Craft;
– Young Business Leader of the Year, Linnea Carlson;
– Manufacturer of the Year, Support Enterprises;
– Restaurant of the Year, HotSpot Café;
– Retailer of the Year, Dot’s Gift Boutique;
– Service to Humanity Award, UPMC Chautauqua;
– Pride of Jamestown Award, Roger Tory Peterson Institute;
– Legacy Award, Lind Funeral Home;
– and Business of the Year, Shults Auto Group.
JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce has selected several local businesses and individuals to receive awards in its annual Salute to the Finest program, taking place later this month on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at La Scala Restaurant.

In recognition of the Jamestown Community Chamber’s partnership projects with the Jamestown Young Professionals two additional awards will be presented: Young Community Leader of the Year, Peter Lombardi; and Young Business Leader of the Year, Pete Scheira.
The awards dinner will begin with registration and a cocktail hour at 5pm, followed by a served dinner and the program at 6pm. The cost is $28 per person or $218 for a table for 8. Dinner choices are prime rib, Parmesan encrusted salmon, or eggplant Parmesan. The cost includes hors d’oeuvres, salad, bread, dessert, and coffee or tea. There will be a cash bar. Advanced registration is required.
