JAMESTOWN – An investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in Jamestown has resulted in the arrest of six people.

Jamestown police say drug raids were conducted Thursday afternoon at two locations in the city – one at 108 Crescent St. and the other at 165 Barrett Ave. The raids were the culmination of an investigation into the alleged sale and trafficking of crack cocaine into the Jamestown area.

Investigators say they found crack cocaine packaged for sale at both locations, along with a loaded rifle at the Crescent St. location.

Arrested at the Crescent St. location were 45 year-old Lawrence Gary and 24 year-old Laura Dubois – both of Jamestown – and 32 year-old Ollie Alford of Buffalo. During the Barrett Ave. investigation, police arrested 46 year-old Tory Knight of Jamestown, along with 31 year-old Ervin Mitchell and 18 year-old Rayquan Brooks – both of Buffalo.

All six were charged with Criminal possession of a controlled substance and are awaiting arraignment in the city jail. Both Gary and Alford – who are also convicted felons – were also charged with criminal possession of a weapon, in connection to the loaded rifle being found at the Crescent St. location.

The investigation was conducted by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force – which is made up of members of the Jamestown and Ellicott police departments.

Anyone with information into the illegal sale of drugs in the area is asked to contact the JPD’s anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS (8477).
