LAKEWOOD, NY – The 2022 WRFA Great American Picnic, taking place on Tuesday, June 21 at Southern Tier Brewing Company. An annual fundraiser for Community Radio in Jamestown! This year’s fundraiser focused on music from artists in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and featured performances from Kyle Gustafson, Gary Peters Jr., Porcelain Busdrivers, Cindy Love, Cold Lazarus, Backlog, and Judas H. Priest! Over $2600 was raised as part of the fundraising effort. Thank you to all who supported the cause!

Registration Now Underway for 2014 Jamestown Sauce Off on June 29

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Now and the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation invite you to celebrate Jamestown’s best red sauces at the third annual Great Jamestown Sauce Off.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 29 at the Winter Garden Plaza in Jamestown from 1 to 4 p.m.

Red sauces may either be meat or vegetarian and can be submitted to represent an individual, family or restaurant. There will be three winners that day. The first prizewinners in the meat and vegetarian category will be determined by a panel of judges. The first place winners will receive a $100 cash prize and a trophy to recognize their superior sauce. Judges will sample all entries and vote for their favorite at 3 p.m.

The 2014 Great Jamestown Sauce Off is June 29.

The 2014 Great Jamestown Sauce Off is June 29.

A prize will be awarded for fan favorite. Patrons of the event will cast their votes throughout the day for their favorite recipe. The fan favorite will receive a special award and a $50 cash prize.

The event will be a family affair where patrons can taste various recipes, enjoy a craft table provided by Michaels and listen to local music provided The New Tenants with Emily Strong, Molly Strong and Kyle Gustafson.
