A Jamestown man has been arrested after police say he fired a gun at someone in a parked vehicle.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson Friday announced several sentences that were recently handed down in county court, including one for a Jamestown man who was no stranger to the law.
The DA’s office reports that 31 year-old Rocco Beardsley was sentenced on Jan. 12 by Supreme Court Judge Paul Wojtaszek on three counts; a determinate sentence of four years in state prison plus two years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; a determinate sentence of two years in state prison plus two years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree; and a determinate sentence of five years in state prison plus two years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. All sentences run concurrently.
