LAKEWOOD – Lakewood-Busti Police have charged a Lakewood woman with Grand Larceny after she allegedly stole over $60,000 from a local business during the past year and a half.
Police said 41-year-old Sandra Ford was arrested and issued an appearance ticket following an investigation into the theft.
Ford was employed by the business when she used the owner’s personal credit card and bank account to make personal purchases and pay her bills.
The name of the business was not disclosed.

WESTFIELD – A Jamestown man is facing 3rd degree grand larceny charges out of the Town of Westfield for allegedly stealing a large amount of cash and valuable jewelry from a family member.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies say 29-year-old Ryan Leid was charged after an investigation found he stole approximately $39,000 cash, three men’s gold rings and a necklace from a relatives safe in the Town of Westfield.
Leid was arrested on Monday and was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Westfield Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN – Six people, including two minors, were arrested Sunday following an alleged burglary incident that took place on Tower St.
Members of the Jamestown Police Department were called to a location on Tower St. for a report of a suspect entering a residence and taking property from a young child. During an investigation, officers located several subjects at a nearby residence, with one of them allegedly involved in the burglary and the others accused of interfering with their investigation.
Police arrested a 16-year-old, whose name is not being released, on a charge of 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony), 4th Degree Grand Larceny (Felony), Child Endangerment, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest.
Also charged were: 38 year-old Anthony Cunningham Jr., 22 year-old Tre Frank, and 18 year-old Isiah Payne, each for obstructing governmental administration; another 16 year-old, whose name was also not released, was charged for obstructing governmental administration; and 18 year-old Devon Jackson for criminal possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.
Police also say that while transporting the two minors, they allegedly hid narcotic evidence in the back of the patrol vehicle. As a result, both were additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence (Felony).
Police say the investigation is continuing.

FREWSBURG – A Frewsburg teenager is in trouble with the law after allegedly stealing a vehicle and getting into an accident, and then resisting arrest.
According to a media release, Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies responded to a call of a vehicle in the ditch on Water Street in the Town of Kiantone at about 6:25 a.m. Monday morning.
On arrival it was discovered that a 17 year-old male, whose name is not being release, was operating the vehicle and had fled and left a 15 year old female passenger at the accident scene. It was further learned that the 17 year-old male had unlawfully taken the vehicle from a residence in the Frewsburg area without permission from the vehicle owner.
The 17 year old male was located at a residence in Frewsburg a short time later and physically resisted arrest when deputies attempted to take him into custody. The teen was then transported to WCA hospital by Frewsburg ambulance, and while at the hospital he allegedly continued to fight with deputies and struck a Sheriff’s Deputy in the face.
The teen was later arraigned in Town of Kiantone Court on several related charges, including resisting arrest, child endangerment, grand larceny, and and then sent to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown police have charged a city teen with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, and grand larceny after investigating a report of a person carrying a long gun while walking down the road.
A media release says officers were sent to an area of Newland Ave. near Delaware ave. shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, for a report of a male subject carrying a long gun while walking down the road. While officers were enroute they were told the male had possibly hid the weapon near a dumpster behind a local church. On arrival officers located two long guns buried in the snow near a dumpster and detained a 16 year-old male who was walking away from the scene. After an investigation officers determined the male had allegedly burglarized a Chautauqua Ave. address and stole the guns.
The teen, whose name is not being released because of his age, was arrested and charged with burglary (2nd degree), criminal possession of stolen property (4th degree), and grand larceny (4th degree). He was sent to the city jail without incident.

MAYVILLE – A 26 year-old Westfield Resident is in the county jail on $10,000 bail after being arrested on a burglary-related charges.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says David Ralph allegedly broke into a residence on Rt. 430 fin the Town of Ellery on Friday, Nov. 27 at about 3:30 a.m. and took several items, including a flat screen TV. He’s also accused of taking a vehicle from the property.
Both the vehicle and Ralph were found a short time later by Deputies in the Elmwood Road, Mayville area and all property from the burglary was recovered.
Ralph was arraigned in Town of Ellery Court on a charge of Burglary 2nd and Grand Larceny 4th and sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

KIANTONE – Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies have arrested a Pennsylvania man for allegedly stealing two vehicles in Chautauqua County – one from a residence in Kiantone and the other from a residence in Clymer.
According to Sheriff deputies, 48 year-old Daniel Craker, Cornish Hill Rd. Bear Lake, Pa., is accused of entering a residence on Frissell Rd. in the town of Kiantone early Saturday morning, finding a set of keys inside the home, and then taking a vehicle from out of the garage – all of which happened while the homeowners were sleeping.
Later in the morning he was spotted by police on North Main St. in Jamestown and taken into custody without incident. A further investigation found that Craker also allegedly stole a pickup truck from a residence on Weeks Rd. in the Town of Clymer.
Police accuse Craker of driving the truck until it ran out of fuel in Kiantone, where he then abandoned the truck and walked until he found the unlocked residence on Frissell Rd.
Craker was charged with two counts of burglar, two counts of grand larceny, Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle and Criminal possession of stolen property 3rd degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Kiantone Court and sent to the county jail without bail.
]]>Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies say 41 year old Allen Carlson Jr. is accused of using money from the Lakeshore Midget Football league for his own finances. Carlson was acting as the league’s Treasurer and allegedly used the leagues funds to pay his personal debts. Investigators say that in a two-month span Carlson stole a total of $4785.75 from the league.
Calrson was arrested last week on a charge of fourth degree grand larceny. Officers say he also repaid the league in full the money that was taken.
The Lakeshore Midget Football League involves several area midget football programs, including Southwestern, Falconer, Chautauqua Lake, Bemus Point, Frewsurg, Panama and Cassadaga.
