The Jamestown Post-Journal reports the Jamestown man accused of killing a Jamestown teenager in a hit and run accident rejected a plea deal in County Court.

60-year old Randall Rolison rejected a deal that would have had him pleading guilty to 2nd Degree manslaughter for striking 15-year old Lexy Hughan with his truck and also pleading guilty to a charge of aggravated vehicular manslaughter for driving an SUV which killed 71-year old Linda Kraemer. The deal included him admitting he was under the influence of narcotics in both accidents with resulting sentence of 13 1/3 to 25 years in state prison.

Rolison was out on bail following the hit and run fatality when State Police say he ran a stop sign on State Route 83 in the town of Arkwright, hitting a truck driven by 71-year old Gary Kraemer of South Dayton. The collision caused serious injuries to Gary Kraemer and resulted in the death of his wife, Linda.

Rolison also was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon after police found three illegal weapons in his possession.

The Jamestown Post-Journal reports the weapons court case will take place June 12. The other two trials will be held after that one is complete.

A Jamestown man who was involved in two separate fatal crashes has had his bail revoked and is in jail.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt said 59-year old Randall Rolison is in the County Jail without bail following his release from UPMC Hamot Medical Center where he had been receiving treatment for injuries he sustained in a fatal crash on December 5, 2022. That crash in the town of Arkwright resulted in the death of 71-year Linda Kraemer and seriously injured 71-year old Gary Kraemer, both of South Dayton.

Schmidt said charges are still pending against Rolison in that incident.

Rolison had previously been indicted by a Chautauqua County Grand Jury on manslaughter charges after striking and killing 15-year old Lexy Hughan on December 31, 2021 with a commercial vehicle. He also is charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

State Police in Jamestown report that a car driven by 30-year old Mathew Berry of Randolph was traveling the wrong way in the westbound lane of I-86 without headlights when he was truck by a Ram truck head on. The collision caused the truck to go into the right lane where it was struck by a Freightliner.

Berry was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 57-year old Todd Town of Jamestown, was taken to UMPC Chautauqua where he died from his injuries. The passenger in the truck, 54-year old Sandra Town, is in serious condition at UPMC Hamot. The driver of the Freightliner had no injuries.

State Police said an investigation determined that Berry suffered from mental illness and had been reported missing earlier Saturday evening.

They added the investigation is ongoing.

New York State Police

Police say 41-year old Mark Daniels of Fredonia was speeding on Route 20 when the car went off the road on a curve, striking a fence and tree stump, before overturning multiple times.

Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Fredonia Fire Department assisted in the investigation.

Lakewood-Busti Police say 65-year-old Carol Boyer was the front seat passenger in a vehicle being driven by 51-year-old Joseph Wisnewski, also of Jamestown. The vehicle was traveling south along Busti-Sugar Grove Rd. around 6:30 p.m. Friday when a deer ran out in front of it. Wisnewski swerved to miss the deer and the vehicle went off the road and struck a tree head on. Police say Wisnewski had to be extricated from the vehicle. There were also two children in the back seat – a 13 year old and a 2 year old – who suffered minor injuries. Wisnewski and the two children were taken to UPMC by ambulance for treatment. Boyer was pronounced dead at teh scene.

Officers were assisted by Busti Fire Dept., Lakewood Fire Dept., and Chautauqua County EMS.

Police say 31-year-old Timothy Vogt was riding with three other motorcyclists on Fredonia-Stockton Road in the town of Pomfret shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Vogt apparently lost control of his bike, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming trailer that was being towed by a pick-up truck.

State Police say it appears Vogt was “an inexperienced rider and riding a bike he was not accustomed to.”

Police say 7-year-old Emmaline Wilcox of Cassadaga was pronounced dead at Brooks Hospital in Dunkirk following the crash, which occurred just after 4 p.m. no Route 60. According to police, the 35-year-old driver of the vehicle Wilcox was in was in the northbound lane of Route 60 and waiting to turn left when they were rear-ended by a second vehicle. The force of that collision forced the first vehicle into the oncoming southbound lane, where it was then struck by a tractor trailer.

No other names have been made public. The investigation by police is continuing.

According to the Post-Journal, Wilcox was a first-grade student at Sinclairville Elementary School and counselors at the school are being made available for the next few days.

A GoFundMe account has also been set up to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Police say the crash occurred shortly after 4 p.m. when a car traveling on Route 60 in the northbound lane rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped waiting to turn left into a parking lot. The stopped vehicle was then pushed into the southbound lane and was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer.

Police say a 35-year-old driver and a seven-year-old passenger were in the car that was struck by the tractor trailer and were sent to Brooks Memorial Hospital for treatment and the child was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The operator was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Police have not released any of the names of the people involved in the crash and also say the investigation is ongoing.

Deputies say the crash occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 on Clymer Center Rd. An investigation determined a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Michael Wade of Clymer failed to keep right and struck an oncoming vehicle operated by 69-year-old David Bensink of Wattsburg, Pa.

Investigators say Bensink was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Both drivers were sent to UPMC Hamot for their injuries and Bensink died as a result of his injuries a week later on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Wade was charged with failure to keep right and no additional charges are to be filed

The Sheriff’s office says deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash with personal injury on Charlotte Center Road around 9:40 p.m.

Investigators say a tractor was hauling a manure spreader and traveling south down Charlotte Center Road, when a pickup truck rear ended the spreader. The male operator of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of those involved are not being released at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
