JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is behind bars after police responded to his residence for a report of a domestic incident and discovered drugs and weapons inside.
The Jamestown Police Department charged 45 year-old Danny Michael III late Saturday night after they were called to 49 Anderson St. for a domestic assault incident. Police say while at the scene they saw items that led them to apply for a search warrant, and later returned to the home to discover a quantity of methamphetamine, a rifle, and drug paraphernalia.
Michael was charged and sent to the city jail for arraignment and police say additional charges are possible.

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown police have arrested a man who they say allegedly set a female victim on fire during a domestic incident.
According to a media release sent out by JPD Capt. Robert Samuelson, Jamestown Police arrived at the scene at at 210 Thayer St at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday and found a 27-year-old female with severe burns to her face, head, and torso. An investigation revealed that the victim was doused in a flammable substance and then set on fire. She was taken to UPMC WCA Chautauqua and then immediately air lifted to ECMC in Buffalo. The victim is reported to be in critical condition.
Officers at the scene were able to take 37-year-old Luis Castro-Mojica into custody, who is currently in the city jail awaiting arraignment on the charge of Assault in the 1st Degree. Mojica-Castro was also wanted on three other domestic incident warrants from a previous incident. Additional charges are expected and the investigation is continuing.

JAMESTOWN – A city man faces child endangerment and other charges following a reported domestic dispute that took place on the city’s south side.
Jamestown police were called to a home on Newland Ave. at midnight, Jan. 2, and learned that 39 year-old Nicholas Alianell had allegedly threatened another person with a knife while two children were present. In addition he allegedly damaged a door in the apartment. Police learned there was an order of protection against Alianell to stay away from the children. He was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, along with criminal mischief, menacing, criminal contempt, and aggravated family offense.
Alianell was taken to the city jail and will be arraigned later in city court.
