The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office says 18 year-old Alan Harding of 28 Creek Road was operating a farm tractor when it overturned, causing fatal injuries. The incident took place just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the same road that Harding lived on. Investigators did not release details on what may have caused the rollover.

Harding was in his senior year at Cassadaga Valley High School.

The Gerry Volunteer Fire department and New York State Police assisted at the scene.

City Police say the incident took place at 10:30 p.m. when an unidentified 54-year-old male was found unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the Germaine and Pappalardo music shop at 52 Charles St. First responders on the scene were unable to revive him and he was pronounced deceased by the county coroner.

After an investigation police learned that the victim was standing on the porch to the second floor when he fell through the railing, causing him to fall to the sidewalk below. The incident has been ruled accidental and no foul play is involved. The name of the victim will be released at a later time
