NEW YORK – The attorneys for former state Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos and his son, Adam, are seeking to have two counts of a federal corruption indictment against them tossed. The attorneys also are seeking the suppression of evidence obtained through wiretaps that is central to the case.
The motion was filed Sept. 4 in federal court in Manhattan.
The Skeloses were arrested in May on extortion and bribery charges, and a superseding indictment in June slapped them with two additional charges not part of an original indictment.
