Plenty of Halloween Events Planned for Friday Throughout Jamestown Area

halloweenJAMESTOWN – Friday Halloween and there will be plenty of event and activities happening throughout the community. For those who still go trick or treating door to door, different communities are holding different trick or treating hours.

In Jamestown, trick or treating will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

Trick or Treating Hours for other communities are as follows:

5 to 7 p.m. Friday

  • Ashville
  • Cassadaga
  • Town of Ellington
  • Findley Lake
  • Town of Gerry
  • Mayville
  • Town of Poland (including Kennedy)
  • Town of Sherman
  • Sinclairville

5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday

  • Town of Clymer

5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday

  • Town of Ellicott (including Falconer)

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday

  • Town of Harmony (including Panama)

6 to 8 p.m. Friday

  • Jamestown
  • Town of Busti (including Lakewood)
  • Town of Ellery (including Bemus Point)

Halloween Fun-Fest at Allen Park Ice Rink

The 30th Annual Citywide Halloween Fun-Fest will be held on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the former Allen Park Ice Rink.

The event has been planned to offer a safe, fun and no-cost alternative to trick-or-treating door to door. The event is for children 12 years of age and under. Individuals over 12 years of age must be accompanied by a child, and children under 6 years must be accompanied by a parent or an adult.

The evening will feature games, a haunted house, refreshments, two costume judging contests (at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.), and musical entertainment by We Speak Canadian. There will be two grand prize winners who will receive bicycles donated by Jamestown Cycle Shop.

The Haunting at the Chautauqua Mall

The HAUNT is back at Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood, NY this Halloween season with a portion of the proceeds to benefit our local Chautauqua County Humane Society.

Happening both Halloween night at Saturday, Nov. 1 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The haunted house, with NEW scarier rooms (over 15 of them), is located on the secluded second floor above JCPenney with the exterior entrance behind the store (enter from parking lot).

Cost is $8 pre-sale or $10 at the door.

Tricks and Treats at the Jamestown Gateway Train Station

The event will take place at the Gateway Train Station from 7 to 10 p.m. Featuring a Magic Show and Halloween Bash.

Tickets $5.00 per person with children under 3 admitted for free. Kids who come in costume will receive $1 discount. There will also be a Chinese Auction, 50/50 Drawing, Door Prizes & Refreshments available. The first 100 kids through the door get a Halloween Treat Bag.
