MORNING NEWS: City Council Meets Tonight

October 1, 2012 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

The Jamestown City Council will be meeting tonight for its first work session of the month. While all council members will attend the full work session at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of city hall, only one of the council’s four standing committees will be meeting beforehand. At 7:15 tonight, the council’s public safety committee will meet to look over several requests for special events to take place in the city. They include the Rocktober Fest at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event by the American Cancer Society, a homecoming parade for the Jamestown High School and a Zombie Run event to take place on the final Friday of the month.  The meeting will take place on the fourth floor of city hall.
