WRFA’s Jason Sample talks with Neil Flory, Music Coordinator at Jamestown Community College, about the upcoming Jazz Fest show at JCC’s Robert Lee Scharmann Theatre on Friday, April 21.
J.J. Swing, an award-winning band of accomplished Buffalo area musicians, which began performing a repertoire of jazz, pop, and rhythm and blues in 1998. The eight-piece band includes Joe Mombrea, C. Jerry Sampson, Jim Linsner, Pat Georger, Jim Runfola, Harry Fackelman, Rick Keller, and Jeff Marsha.
The performance is sponsored by JCC’s arts, humanities, and health sciences division and college program committee.
Admission to the 7 p.m. performance in Scharmann Theatre is $4, general public, $3, area students and senior citizens, and $2, JCC Faculty Student Association members. Tickets can be purchased through JCC’s box office, 338.1187, or online at www.campusstore.sunyjcc.edu.
In addition, Flory discusses the upcoming recitals presented by JCC music students and faculty. The faculty performance will be held April 23. The students will perform April 30.
The programs, free and open to the public, are presented by JCC’s arts, humanities, and health services division. Both recitals begin at 2 p.m.
