The 2016 The Great Blue Heron Music Festival is July 1-July 3 in Sherman NY. To celebrate the music festival’s 25th anniversary the festival’s Julie Rockcastle and David Tidquist stop by the WRFA studio to talk with Jason Sample about the festival’s history, the many highlights, and its lasting legacy. Plus they also offer a preview for the 2016 Heron.

Along with an interview with Julie and David, we also feature music from Donna the Buffalo, New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Town Pants, Smackdab, The Bogarts, The Horse Flies, and Jim Lauderdale.
