JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man has been arrested following an armed robbery incident that City Police say took place Tuesday afternoon in the downtown.
Jamestown police were called to the area of E. 6th and Spring Streets at about 2:45 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery that had just taken place. During the incident, the victim said he was robbed at knifepoint by a male who fled from the scene on foot with another male. Officers located the suspect walking in an area of Prendergast Ave. He was identified as 46 year-old Daryl Coleman. An investigation found several of the reported stolen items on Coleman’s possession. He was arrested and charged with 1st degree roberry and sent to the city jail to await arraignment.
Coleman is also reportedly on parole and is facing a parole violation.
