WEST ELLICOTT – Police in the Town of Ellicott have made an arrest in the case involving an armed robbery of a Faimount Ave. gas station and convenience store Wednesday morning.
WRFA Has learned that Ellicott police took three suspects into custody late Wednesday night and will be sending out a press release updating the investigation later Thursday morning.
The robbery involved two men entering the Keystone Food Mart (575 Fairmount Ave.) just before 5 a.m. with one of them holding a shot gun. The two made off with an undisclosed amount of cash shortly after entering the store. No one was injured.
The men, believed to be Hispanic, fled after the robbery in a white sedan. They were last seen heading toward Jamestown. A red hooded sweatshirt and green hat, similar to the ones worn by the suspects, were found lying in the road on Todd Avenue in the city.
Police worked throughout the day Wednesday and into the evening to locate the suspects.
