City Police Charge Three Following Raid at Best Western Hotel

February 22, 2016 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

Jamestown Police BadgeJAMESTOWN – Jamestown police arrested three city residents following an arrest at the Best Western Hotel in downtown Jamestown on Friday.

City police say the arrests took place Friday afternoon at about 3:15 p.m. in two rooms of the hotel. Arrested were two men – 39 year-old Dwight Leeper and 36 year-old Larry Hicks – and one female – 26 year-old Johnee Thompson. The arrests were the result of a search warrant issued following what police called an ongoing investigation.

During the arrest, police allegedly found the trio in possession of cocaine, ecstasy pills, more than $5,000 in cash and a loaded pistol. Hicks and Thompson were found in one room while Leeper was found in another room.

All three face drug-related charges, with Hicks and Thompson also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
