JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police responded to a call of an assault that occurred at a Newton Ave. apartment early Sunday morning, where a male victim was reportedly assaulted and pistol whipped with a loaded handgun.
An investigation found that 22 year-old Aaron S. Miller and a 17 year old subject, who’s name is not being released, where in the apartment and assaulted the male victim with a loaded pistol by striking him in the head with the weapon. A further investigation resulted in officers finding a loaded pistol in the trunk of a vehicle connected to the incident.
A search warrant was later executed at Miller’s apartment at 846 Prendergast Ave., hwere officers found more than 22 grams of crack cocain, cash, and another firearm.
Miller faces several charges, including 2nd degree assault, end degree criminal possession of a weapon, and 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (all felonies) and also menacing and reckless endangerment. The 17 year-old was charged with 2nd degree assault (a felony). Both are currently in the city jail and awaiting arraignment.
