Chautauqua Center Lease, Complete Streets Highlight Legislature’s June Voting Session

June 24, 2015 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

Among the resolutions is a lease agreement for a federally funded health center to operate out of Chautauqua County’s South County Office Building in downtown Jamestown. The Chautauqua Center, which already provides services to residents in the Dunkirk area, was recently given $700,000 in federal funding to expand services in the south county. The grant will ultimately be used for the Chautauqua Center to construct a new medical facility in Jamestown, but until a specific location is settled on, the center is expected to operate out of space leased from the county.

Under terms of the proposed lease agreement, approximately 3,688 square feet of clinical space would be leased to the center at a cost of $6,000 per month. The term of the lease is from Aug. 1, 2015 to July 31, 2017.

Under the police, the DPF would be required s to consider various modes of travel whenever putting together designs for new road projects. The policy would not apply in situations where projects are limited to resurfacing, locations where bicyclists or pedestrians are prohibited by law, or the cost would be disproportionate to the need.

Wednesday’s legislature meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
